Yes, I know the title is not really the most appropriate for a special day like today: Valentine day! But perfectly adapted to title this new vector design in Toon’s shop:

miss U!

Happy Valentine Day!

From the sketch to the final vector graphic: the crazy cat

Back from vacation, I feel great to come back to my pencils. Here are the 5 steps I used for creating a crazy cat from the sketch to the final result. The vector desig is perfectly adapted for printing on very small or very large product without loosing quality. A new mascot is ready!

We start with a small pencil sketch, outlined with a large pen. Then this is the vectorization step completed by some alterations on the initial drawing and followed by colorization. A blue cat? Why not, it matches so well its funny look. For shadows and touches of light, you need to imagine one or more light sources and visualize the character in 3D! Well, I’m still working on it…

Have a good week!

Hello all,

As you like my designs, I’ve decided to create a T-shirt shop online with spreadshirt. One in Canada/US (with low shipping prince for New Zealand or Australia): Toon’s shop and one in France/Europe: La boutique du toon

First design: Angel and Demon

The first design printed on the t-shirts is a vector graphic, already presented in an old post:

What is in your mind?

As I was creating the various products, I faced some questions and would like to have your comments:

Do you prefer the design in the back or in the front for the Men’s t-shirts?

Do you prefer colours or black and white design?

Do you prefer a little design on the chest or a bigger one?

Do you prefer cheap tees, nice jackets or organic tees?

See you soon!

Business card: A or B?

So, after a few months to postpone this task, I finally found a little bit of time to create my own business card! Cool! But, as always, I’m still in front of a choice: A or B? Which one is the best to depict m business, my mind. Then, I though YOU could help me 😉

It’s easy, here are the various issues… tell me your opinion:

Knowing that the “landscape” versions, more traditional, have been done using Illustrator with the frog in use on my portfolio… but is it not too much for a business card? And the “portrait” versions have been done using Photoshop. These last ones are quite outstanding (too much?) and davantage promote my portfolio.

So what’s your choice?
