Recently, I realized at work some car, home, motorcycle and boat’s sketches to illustrate the website’s home page. Finally the idea was abandoned and we moved to a web home page more traditional, but I really enjoyed the time I spent to sketch like a break and decided to share them with you. Here they are:
To sketch before any drawing or illustration, is necessary for me … Of course, this is not the case for all illustrators. And the result is not better with or without sketches, it all depends on the artist. Below is a great video of a painting “virtuoso” made by the artist Alice X Zhang: watch the video
Is it the new children’s game fashion? or just a new passion of Lucas? Dragons in cartons, plastic, make it yourself, stickers on the wall, flying dinosaurs, baby dinos emerging from the egg … so why not a pencil drawing.
A quick sketch this week to illustrate the addiction to coffee … Chocolate which is particularly strong for one of my colleagues or even all, myself included:)
By the way, I found an interesting Wiki page about the caffeine, especially concerning the amount of caffeine contained in black tea, green tea, chocolate and coffee. There is as much caffeine in black tea than green tea: 50mg for 20cl cup (small cup). This corresponds to half the caffeine in a cup of coffee (espresso or filter)! And beyond 300 mg of caffeine per day, which means 3 cups of coffee or six cups of tea or 250g of chocolate or 2.5 L of cola, it’s a drug.
A little sketch draw last week for one of my colleague who’s fan of this big cats. By the way, I learned that a leopard was a kind of panther.
Last weekend we went in the mountains to revitalize ourselves. The result: a small speed sketch done within a few minutes: sharp lines, no erasing, leaving only the hand express.
A little sketch after reading a news about it in the business press 2 weeks ago (http://www.businessinsider.com/google-move-2011-10?op=1). It seems to be now on hold, but the rumor inspired me this sketch which could suit any new Google’s craving time.
After spending 3 days in Christchurch, I’m back with 3 new movements for my little old wise. It’s still needing a little bit of work! But I hope to colourise this soon.
See you tomorrow!
