For the future DrupalCamp Lyon to be held in March, April 2012 (To be confirmed), I made some logos inspired by Lyon (city/animal):
There are 3 ideas and variations. For Sketch No. 2, the variations are mainly the drop on the forehead (with or without reflection), reflections on the upper face of the lion (maybe not very printer friendly), the white or dark mouth of the lion and white or blue edges (latest version at the bottom center).
You can vote for the logo you like better below. The poll order is the same as in the gallery.
Thank you in advance for your feedback and votes 🙂
Version française Pokez Den
Well, it’s time to return at work! After 2 months to prepare our move (from New Zealand to France) and spent two amazing months in Australia (a lot of inspiration). Now, surrounded by the boxes in our new apartment in Montreal, it’s time to think about the return 🙂
A sweet return with music and the Pokez Den logo. Pokez Den is a music band of Brittany composed by David Rouger (guitar) and Serge Jahan (bagpipe). The are regularly playing at Fest Noz* in Brittany, France.
Here are some tunes from their repertoire
Korrigans du désert
Valse à Bruno
If you want to support them, you can buy a tshirt with their logo on http://boutiquedutoon.spreadshirt.fr/pokez-den-noir-I13949628 or http://boutiquedutoon.spreadshirt.fr/pokez-den-I13949481
*Fest Noz : night parties in Brittany, type of ball with an orchestra of Breton music
To create the logo for Eat So They Can, we spent a lot of time and energy at the beginning of the year. The new logo is quite similar to the old one, but has some new concept. For instance, last year, the fundraising was only given to African communities. This year, the funds will be distributed in Africa, Asia, and America.
Here are some ideas we tried before selecting THE Eat So They Can logo 🙂
One of the first Idea was to use a bunny bag or a bowl to depict the food by using a generic object: the bags which are used to transport food and the bowl which is the most common container.
The following logo has not been chosen due to the too significant opposition between the white woman eating on the left and the black girl on the right. This might have caused issues.
A batch of logos were based on the square which is easier to integrate in various design like posters, websites or business cards.
These logos are quite similar to the final one: colors and orientation of the text.
If you want to see the final logo, have a look at Eat So They Can.
A little logo made in 2003: the Kergelen’s garagists stamp. On Kerguelen’s island, each group has its own stamp with its logo for pressing the letters sending from the island. For them, I therefore decided to draw a monster truck, the big foot:
Then I added some mentions to get this kind of stamp:
