Van Gogh’s letters

Just a little word today about Vincent Van Gogh (1853-1890) a painter from Holland, living alone in the south of France, an artist who has cut his own ear but not so insane, not so poor, not only a painter: he was also a writer playing with the words. He wrote a broad range of letters to his brother Théo and to his friend and painter Gauguin, explaining his works, his ideas: 900 letters!

All these words have been carefully studied to create a gorgeous piece of work: 6 books of 2000 pages published in french, english and dutch. And to come with, a website introducing these letters has been developed where each letter, each sketch is available to everybody in various languages. Have a look: Vincent Van Gogh, The letters
