Happy Halloween to every one. Just a little scary cat drawn today to celebrate this date.
The drawing is inspired by a photography.
I will be on the road for one week… see you on next Monday!
Today, I would like to present two little works made with Illustrator in 2007 for illutrating quizzes on Version Femina Website. Vector graphics are useful for logo creating while the picture is rescalable without damage.
The first one was drawn on paper before exporting in Ilustrator. I used the automatic vectorization tool to obtain a first vector graphic. Then I worked on the different paths created by the tool to get smoother and sharper outlines. Here is the result:
Is friendship between angel and evil a real way? Or is it two part of the same mind?
Another good fact using the vector graphic is the flexibility: colors and outlines are easily modifiable as you can see below.
The second illustration has been made from scratch in Illustrator. This one was to illustrate the quizz: What is your dark side? One of the result was manipulative.
Today two little illustrations made in 2005 to illustrate a dating website. But finally, we choose some photographies to illustrate this website.
First I sketched the both quick and dirty for later enhancements. But they were still sleeping in a drawer last year. So I decided to play with some Photoshp effects to obtain this render: old ink stamp.
After considering it, I decided to improve a little bit the last drawing to get an illustration more refined. Here is the result:
A beaver and a frog sleeping in a bed sketched for decorating my room’s door and also for illustrating the labour day! Labour Day is an annual holiday celebrated in most of the world on May 1st. In New Zealand, Labour Day held on the fourth Monday in October. Then, yesterday, Monday October 26, was a public holiday and a sunny day in Wellington: perfect for taking a nap!
The beaver and the frog illustrated a canadian and a french. I choose this perspective to amplify the snore!
I was not drawing for a while but you will never forget how to pedal. But there is still a lot of training before to be able to illustrate some real stories. Maybe soon, I will add a strip with three pictures.
See you tomorrow!
Another portrait drawn from a photography. It’s much more easier like this than from live modele!
I have drawn this one in 2008 from a picture in a newspaper. I liked the honest expression of this young person’s eyes and the little smile floating on the mouth. I tried to catch the right expression in this drawing.
One of my best, my biggest and my last painting (at the moment but, for sure, I will change this) has been made with a friend, Séverine Constancias: two painters for one painting. It’s really interesting to see the difference between each technique. It was also a great moment to share with a nice friend. Maybe, I will add one day some of her works here.
I thought the woman in this painting looks like a manga figure with big eyes and little mouth.
