Treasure keeper
When I was student, I have drawn a lot for illustrating the student newspaper, the facebook and for other events. Besides, I have already posted in this blog about an illustration made for the E=M6 contest. Today, the drawing shown below was made to illustrate the newspaper’s cover. The newspaper name was “The Seagull” that’s why the main character in this drawing is a seagull. It was our treasure keeper.
I drew the treasure and the cave on a paper and the seagull skeleton on an other one. Thereafter, I added the seagull skeleton on the treasure using Photoshop to obtain the final drawing.
Big foot
A little logo made in 2003: the Kergelen’s garagists stamp. On Kerguelen’s island, each group has its own stamp with its logo for pressing the letters sending from the island. For them, I therefore decided to draw a monster truck, the big foot:
Then I added some mentions to get this kind of stamp:
Cloche hat
A little drawing today for testing my new toys I received one month ago from Canada: sanguines, charcoals and a charcoal paper pad with a great textured surface. The first sketch was drawn at the Mighty Mighty bar’s counter in Wellington: a portrait of a woman wearing a cloche hat.
Based on this sketh, I tried to use the sanguine and charcoal pencils to create this drawing:
Finally, I decided to use my usual pencil on the charcoal pad, drawing more and more details to obtain this result:
Teddy bear
Just for fun… a little teddy bear drew using Conte pencils. The pastel tones are the most adapted to the children… even if it was not for a child! Blue for the dream part, green for the natural part and a yellow, brown, warm tone for a big hug!
Happy Birthday!
Alien
Sun is back! And maybe summer time is started in New Zealand. Therefore my inspiration is back: Here is a little and friendly alien drew using Photoshop and the pen tool.
